up of 11 representatives, who represent the 11 ridings
of Amerada. The legislature is based on proportional
representation, based on the last election results. The
wining party's leader becomes the Prime Minister, and he or
she names a deputy Prime Minister. A separate election for
Prime Minister is called every year, but only members of the
leading party in the legislature may run. Every four years,
a multi-party election will occur, where one member from
each registered party may run for Prime Minister.

The next
legislative election will occur in 2005, but reform legislation will hopefully allow sooner and more frequent legislative elections. |
